Reviews of Weber 4431001 Spirit E-320 Propane Grill, Black
Review:
Nice grill, easy to assemble. One problem is that the auto igniter doesn't appear to be working but that may be my error. I'll have to call the toll free number provided to see what the problem is. Bottom line, good purchase.
Review:
Most definately the the best grill I have ever had. The entire surface heats up evenly and you can crank it up to whatever temp you want for great searing. The hardware that came in the unit was the wrong package so Weber overnighted the correct package. I agree with the previous reviews on assembly.
The Spirit 320 is all any homeowner will ever need. The cooking surface is plenty big enough for entertaining a small party which is all I ever have. I like the fact that it has 3 burners and not 2-I think that makes a big difference in cooking. I HAVE to have the side burner since I use it all of the time which is the added benefit to this unit. The warranty is superb as well as customer service. Replacement parts can be purchased locally when needed. The price on Amazon is the best out there especially with the free shipping. It took longer to get here than I anticipated, but it was free. I considered buying the Member's Mark from Sam's club until I read the reviews on this one, looked at the warranty comparison and the components-a no brainer. The extra money for this is very well spent.

Almost bought several different lower end grills. No looking back. I'm a Weber believer.
Spirit E-320 is not commonly found in stores. Think they like to push you up to the Genesis line to gain the side burner.
Assembly, smooth and easy. Great packing too. Took about 2 hours. But I enjoy these projects. Would rather assemble it myself right the 1st time then have some 16 year old kid do it cut corners.
Great overall design, perhaps a little small on grilling space if you are cooking for a big party. But for 99% of my needs (family and small groups of friends) its is perfect. Temp controls are very good, and cooking over the whole grill is even. Food sear marks are a thing of beauty.
I don't know for sure but I would swear it is way more efficient burning fuel. Tank seems to last 2x+ compared to my old sunbeam. Perhaps it cooks so much better that you don't cook food as long?
Side Burner: Works great, set in low prevents wind from blowing the heat away from the pot/pan
Cons: Placement of the burner knobs makes for very limited work space on the right side. And especially if you are using the left side burner. Casters are a little small if you move your grill a lot.
Recommendation: Buy the Weber cover to go with.
Review:
I received the grill a few weeks ago it is easy to assemble definitely worth the money. I read a few reviews concerning other grills that were less expensive and I realized that when it comes to outdoor cooking you pay for what you get. This is a good grill, it heats evenly, it's sturdy and it is an attractive grill to boot. The one thing that I wish came with this grill is more room up top, but other than that I am really enjoying it.
Review:
Well...you get what you pay for is still true! After going through countless (bargain!) gas grills, we finally bit the bullet and decided to get "the best" and trust the reviews of other buyers of Weber grills. We are not disappointed! As a cookbook author, I have many occasions to entertain and treat guests and family to delicious grilled food. I have never gotten a sear as good from any grill I've ever owned before this Weber. It's amazing how much more delicious a seared piece of meat can taste. You need a grill with a lot of spunk to get hot enough to do the job. This Weber does it well. O.K., it's not the top 'o the line in the Weber lineup, but for the home cook, it can't be beat for the money. I may just have to get one for our son and his family.

What is the minimum clearance allowed bewtween a free standing gas stove/fireplace and a wooden lintel?
johnthumbs's Question:
I have a 700mm high free standing gas stove/fireplace above which I'd like to place a wooden lintel. What is the minimum clearance between the stove and the lintel allowed?
MICHAEL P's Answer
Well I honestly think that you should refer that question to the fireplace manufacturer for correct guidance as every case will be different. I have a gas log fire ( enclosed ) with a canopy and the clearance between the top of my canopy and the wooden mantelpiece is 115mm ( four and a half inches ) and that was within the manufacturers recommendation. However, your situation may be entirely different.

How do I build free-standing walls (for a haunted house) with enough support to not fall over when leaned on?
nigeledcat's Question:
I am putting together a haunted house/maze for Halloween. I want to begin planning now. I want to build several free standing walls (on an existing concrete surface) that support themselves well enough to not fall over when leaned on. I am pretty handy, and I'm not afraid of construction. I am willing to frame out walls, but I need them to be sturdy and stable, since they won't be bracketed to any existing structure. How do I do this? Can any of you carpentry gurus help me? Thanks.
Ben D's Answer
When I worked for a haunted house, we made our portable wall system out of four foot wall panels made from 2*4s. Each wall panel would be bolted together and to make them self supporting, our maze consisted of numerous 90 degree turns and both the left and right sides of the hallway would be periodically connected at the top. Good Luck

Where can I source a couple of free-standing doors to use on stage?
EvilEdd's Question:
I need two free-standing doors (in frames) for use as part of a stage-set. One would be the front door of a bar, the other an internal door of the bar. I'm based in Liverpool, so I'm hoping there's somewhere nearby.
Erin's Answer
Perhaps there's a building salvage in your area that you can buy a couple doors for. You may have to build frames, but it would be cheaper than having to go through a lumber store for all of it...
