Review:

Owned a Weber Gas grill for the last 15 years. This grill is a BIG step up. Love it. Could not be better. Seperate burner for box with wood chips for adding a smokey flavor while grilling. Searing station, rotisserie and rotisserie burner.

Review:

I am very interested in this grill and was concerned about a previous review on water intrusion into the grease catcher. I emailed tech support on Sunday evening and early Monday morning I had a very thorough response from their tech support group This issue is solved and if you buy a unit now or have one, contact support with your model and serial number and they will send you a piece to solve this issue.

I was impressed with their quick response and offer to solve the problem. My next grill will be the S-670!

Review:

This is the newer model S670 #2780301. The previous model was 2780001 so check the number before ordering. I was planning on the smaller s470 but Northline express had a sale on the s670 for about the same price, so I jumped on it. It arrived by freight (free shipping) and the driver rolled it into my garage by himself with a special dolly. Plan on 2 or more people to help move it. My son and I moved it about 5 feet at a time working towards my backyard.

It came well packaged and completely assembled except for the 2 side wings. A few screws and you're done. They recommend a 20# propane tank but I'm looking for 30-40# because if you use all the burners the propane disappears fast, so have a spare ready. I thought the gimmicky knob and grill lights would be useless, but now I find them very helpful at dusk and night. They're useful gimmicks! The hide away rotisserie motor is another nice touch. It frees up shelf space when not in use and you don't have to attach and unattach it when needed. You just pull a tab and there it is ready to use.

I don't want to drag this out but I've used all of the grills functions and the results are excellent. It's expensive but worth it. I would assume the s470 is just as good for less. Look for overstock and other sales. I think I got a great deal. Good luck!

Oh! There's a newer cover for it also 7555 with side vents instead of the front and rear vents that leaked water into the grease tray.

Q&A

Can I use a standard propane on a Weber Genesis grill?

kathyc's Question:
We recently purchased a used Weber grill on Craigslist however the propane tank is extremely rusty. The person who we bought it from said that they probably wouldn't refill the tank and that we would have to replace it. I've heard that Weber grills use a different propane tank or adapter or something. Can we simply exchange it at the gas station for a new tank? Will it work? Is there an adapter we need? Thanks for your help!

robert m's Answer

Regular propane- any homestore (Lowes or Home Depot) will sell you a new tank- costs about $25 filled

How did MAX WEBER contribute to the general administrative theories of management?

samee's Question:
Max Weber is considered one of the founders of the modern study of sociology and public administration .How did MAX WEBER contribute to the general administrative theories of management?

barish70's Answer

WEBERIAN SOCIOLOGY Every student usually knows that Max Weber (1864-1920) is one of the founding fathers of sociology and also sometimes referred to as the "father of bureaucracy". His basic idea is that bureaucracy as a unique ideal-type has remarkably good qualities. Like Fayol, his works were not translated into English until long after his death (the 1930's in Weber's case). Weber's ideas have much in common with scientific management because of an appreciation for rationality as what makes bureaucracies unique. Only in Western civilization has rationality, the logical connecting of means and ends, been elevated to a mode of thought appropriate for all spheres of action, e.g., education, science, art, jurisprudence, economy. Capitalism, for example, is a very rational economic system because it pursues profits through profit-seeking free enterprise. The Western state is the only political institution with a rational, written constitution, rationally ordered law, and a government bound by rational laws and administered by rationally trained officials. Weber not only enumerated the characteristics of bureaucracy but also analyzed the forms of authority in organizations. Characteristics of Bureaucracy:
1. Rulification & routinization - effort-saving rules and equal treatment 2. Specific spheres of competence - clear division of labor, specialization
3. The principle of hierarchy - leave no office uncontrolled
4. Expertise of office holders - managers to have technical training
5. Written record-keeping - everything to be recorded & filed, red tape Forms of Authority:
1. Charismatic - an appeal to emotions and affections, charisma
2. Traditional - the sanctification of tradition, habit
3. Rational-legal - valuation of something because it embodies an ultimate value or a disinterested, professional attitude of valuation toward a thing for its own sake
