Review:

Really like this BBQ brush. The handle is very comfortable, and has a slip-proof rubber grip with an indent for your thumb to help really get some muscle into cleaning the grill. Long handle to help keep your arm away from the heat.

I'm particularly pleased that it comes with two replacement heads. As you know, the brush heads get clotted up with grease and gunk well before the handle gives out. So, rather than toss the entire tool, just unscrew the old head (four screws), put on the new one and you're good to go. Helps me do my part to keep the solid waste down. The new heads include 4 new screws (they are taped to the top of the new head).

As others have pointed out, the bristles are stainless steel. That's fine for me but if you need a brass brush, you'll need to look elsewhere.

Very pleased with the purchase, and find it to be an excellent value with the extra heads.

Review:

The metal part that holds the brush says it is stainless steel. After a very short time, it was rusted and corroded.

I won't buy this brush again.

Review:

Quick delievery of a good product. Especially pleased that it comes with two extra brushes for replacement purposes. Quite large for smaller grills.

Review:

I ordered this item on Amazon.com as its description states Model # 06067P which is the BRASS bristle model. Amazon sent me 06067SSP which is the stainless steal bristles. I called to let them know of this mixup. We'll see if I get the correct one.

Review:

I was expecting a decent grill brush, I received a great one. The brush bristles are stiff and the pad is large making it very easy to clean the grill grates. I love that you receive extra cleaning pads so you dont have to replace the whole brush when the first one wears down!

Q&A

How do I clean my grill brush?

SuddenlySexy's Question:
It's the metal bristle type. You guys know the problem: it's greasy, sticky and black!

Garden Girl's Answer

Don't hassle with cleaning it. Go to Walmart and buy a new one. They are like 99 cents. Much easier. But if you must clean it, soak it in ammonia, in an old plastic container.
The grease will roll away. Then rinse really, really well.

Q&A

Do you need to marinate the chicken 1st or just brush on BBQ sause on the grill?

sbeaz's Question:
Making BBQ chicken breast. Do you marinate in the the BBQ sause first or just brush it on as you grill it?

grandmom's Answer

You don't need to marinade first but I would not put sauce on the chicken until it is almost cooked otherwise the sauce will burn.
Have a great and safe holiday!

Q&A

Does anyone know the best way to clean a cast iron griddle/grill?

northernlite13's Question:
Went camping and placed the grill over the fire ring to cook. Tried to get most of the food off the grill part (reversible sides, smooth and grill) after cooking. Was too hot. When it cooled food is really tough to remove even after scrubing it with just about everything I have. Didn't know if I could use a grill brush or SOS. If anyone has suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Grandma of 2's Answer

A good wire brush and hot, soapy water will work. Just be sure to season the griddle after cleaning or it is going to rust. Spray or rub with cooking oil and place into a warm oven for about 4 hours to let the oil soak into the metal. Don't wash with comet since cast iron will expand when heated and the comet will soak into the "pores" of the metal. Anything that is cooked on the griddle will taste like comet for a long time until it works that crap out.
