Review:

The Grate Chef Steaming Grill Brush is a great gift for any backyard griller. So easy to use and cleans the grill grates with steam. Follow up with their Grill Wipes and none of your food will stick to the metal. The perfect steak or chicken any time!

Review:

This Item worked great the first time I used it. The second time, I refilled it with water and a little lemon juice and prepared to clean my grill. Nothing sprays out. And the unit doesn't seem to have any easy way of cleaning or clearing the apparent stoppage. In the future, I will just use a good wire brush and a spray bottle with water and a little lemon juice in it. Don't buy this unreliable junk.

Q&A

How do I clean my grill brush?

SuddenlySexy's Question:
It's the metal bristle type. You guys know the problem: it's greasy, sticky and black!

Garden Girl's Answer

Don't hassle with cleaning it. Go to Walmart and buy a new one. They are like 99 cents. Much easier. But if you must clean it, soak it in ammonia, in an old plastic container.
The grease will roll away. Then rinse really, really well.

Q&A

Do you need to marinate the chicken 1st or just brush on BBQ sause on the grill?

sbeaz's Question:
Making BBQ chicken breast. Do you marinate in the the BBQ sause first or just brush it on as you grill it?

grandmom's Answer

You don't need to marinade first but I would not put sauce on the chicken until it is almost cooked otherwise the sauce will burn.
Have a great and safe holiday!

Q&A

Does anyone know the best way to clean a cast iron griddle/grill?

northernlite13's Question:
Went camping and placed the grill over the fire ring to cook. Tried to get most of the food off the grill part (reversible sides, smooth and grill) after cooking. Was too hot. When it cooled food is really tough to remove even after scrubing it with just about everything I have. Didn't know if I could use a grill brush or SOS. If anyone has suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Grandma of 2's Answer

A good wire brush and hot, soapy water will work. Just be sure to season the griddle after cleaning or it is going to rust. Spray or rub with cooking oil and place into a warm oven for about 4 hours to let the oil soak into the metal. Don't wash with comet since cast iron will expand when heated and the comet will soak into the "pores" of the metal. Anything that is cooked on the griddle will taste like comet for a long time until it works that crap out.
